In vitro fertilization (IVF) involves retrieving eggs from the woman, fertilizing it in a lab with the sperm, and then planting the embryos into the uterus. The fertilized egg then grows into the fetus.
Usually, if the treatment is successful, a pregnancy is achieved within 6 months of trying again.
